Ok, Budget is £350 - Max.
Use, well its for the wife for her Birthday so Internet Browsing, facebook etc and a few of those daft girlie games. Also to play music, watch films, and store pics.
So really "general" laptop use I reckon.
Needs to look "modern", large ish screen, Win 7 OS, wireless built in.
Of course - the best spec I can get really.
So what is the best I can get for my money at the moment out there then ?
.

One major word of advice UK, if she goes on facebook she plays the games and if she wants to play the games she needs a beefy processor. The Atom Processors will play the games but they are slow as hell.
On that note Dell has some great deals on inexpensive i3, i5 and i7 laptops right now.

QFT.
Have been looking for cheap laptops for a relative and I have to say, as much as I hate Dell, it's hard to get as good a laptop for such little money.
The Dell Online Store: Build Your System | Dell UK
Fits your budget quite nicely, although if you can stretch have a look at some of the ones with i3 CPUs in.

Netbooks fail to be honest, unless your in need of a space saver due to work etc.
Dell is the way to go Craig, plus, lots of great Dell recon/ex product websites too.
I'll grab a good link from my mate later, he swears by this site.

Something refurbished is by definition a failed product

That net book is one of a kind, has something called XGP (allows external GPU),but

Not at all, most are returns/false deliveries.
