OK, so yesterday i launched pr. After a few hours i closed it and all of the shortcuts ware missing(i can only see the backgrounds and the start menu).If i try to place new ones they dissapear.

Did you try to restart?

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Desktop

Can you see all your stuff there?

Well, looks like Windows has just messed itself up.

You can try to revert back to a date when everything was working properly using the system restore if you have it enabled.

And also wuldnt pr be missing then?(i installed it yesterday)

It won't delete any files. You might need to re-install PR anyway though (I'm not sure if it requires any registry entries - these will be reverted).

Dident u just say it dosent delete files?

I did but I also said it does revert the registry (so PR's will end up being erased). I'm not sure if PR needs them.

Right Click -> View -> Show Desktop Icons
(At least that is what it is on 7, dunno about XP)

right click,arrange icons by,show desktop icons.
