Everytime I'm on US, PLA, UK, MEC or IDF side I get excited when I pick up an available HAT kit or AR kit(SAW), cuz you can sit somewhere in remote position taking out tanks/APCs from like 400 meters away with the HAT or spraying enemy infantry with the SAW. But whenever I'm on Russia's side the PKM doesnt have optical sights, you cant see ****, nor does the RPG. Even the MEC have a optical sight on their SAWs and on the HAT. Both PLA and MEC didnt have optics in pre 0.9 and now got added. Seriously, the Devs should consider adding optics ATLEAST on the PKM, cuz its a real turn off playing on Russian side when on Silent eagle or Yamalia. I usually take grenadier or Marksman kits. Does anyone else feel that way?

lol, my fault, they look alike to me. Still russian MG though. Thats good idea, leave the insurgents with the usual PKM and replace PKM with PKP on RF side.

its not a matter of 'we don't wanna give PKM scope' its a matter of getting the work done the zoom currently implemented is only gonna be used until the appropriate models are made, which will happen in due course, this was the same for teh m16 back in the day.

Awhile back a thread was made asking for a scope on the Tandem RPG for Russians, and one Dev simply had ' ' in his post. It was self explanatory that it was being developed really.

Currently some people HATE the PKM, but its quite an effective weapon even though it bounces around like crazy. I'd rather have an MG with zoom on the irons than a scoped MG anyday.

Agreed. With zoomed irons you can see more and it's easier to shoot stuff.

IIRC its exactly the same level of zoom, same thing as what the old m16s were like when they didn't have scopes modelled.

lol, you saying that the PKM has the same level zoom as the american and other SAWs? lol, are you serious? All I can zoom with is right mouse button, is there like a key that makes it even better zoomed that I dont know about?
EDIT: NVM, thought you were taking about PKM. But someone said that its still better zoom.

yes, zoom level is the same as on other MGs, same was with MEC mg(HK21) before it got replaced

russian PKM , whistle in deployed mode, has a 4x zoom like other weapons as a placeholder till it gets a scope.

No, me and couple of my friends usually play PR together. I dont know I just feel more comfortable with the optical sight SAWs, I got like 30 kills a couple times with it. Mostly on Fallujah west. But with the iron sight of PKM its uncomfortable looking through that iron sight. It would be awesome if with a optics is all I'm saying.

Especially in like those open areas in fallujah west where there is like one house with a cache in it, you just spray them from a far, get them pinned while you squad moves in to take it out. I am a team player if you're doubt.

Modern PKMs (PKMN?) can mount the same variety of optics that any dovetail equiped AK can. That being said, the 1P29 has a cam that is calibrated for the PKM's cartridge and barrel length.

If someone suggests AT rockets for the PKM gunner, I'll stab them in the mouth.
