I got mine off ebay. I got a 700 dollar computer for 360 USD. If you plan on getting into arma 2 you should probally get a quad core. Or a very fast duel core but i don't recommend dual cores in this present day. In the future you will be looking to expand, and duel core motherboards don't give you that option.

Here a couple sellers on ebay that have good deals on expensive rigs.

I got mine from the last link.

If your going to buy a premade computer, please don't get it from ebay. The parts they use are all sub-par no name parts and you will you have little to no warranty.

I would suggest you get your computer from one of such sites.

CyberPower Inc. - UNLEASH THE POWER - Create the Custom Gaming PC and Laptop Computer of your dreams

Alienware Computers - Custom-Built Gaming Desktops and Laptops

iBUYPOWER: High Performance Custom Gaming Computers and Notebooks

These PC's may cost a bit more but you will get a great warranty and customer support. Also, whats great about these sites is you can select what you want in your computer so you can maximize price and performance.

Now, your second option is you can build your own computer which will probably be cheaper and will allow you to better maximize price to performance but you run the risk of breaking something or messing something up and not having customer support to help you, which is why I would only recommend this route if you are experienced in this sort of thing. Although you may be able to have a local computer store put the computer together for you but they will probably charge you a fair amount for doing so.

A couple of the computers I like from each of the sites.

iBUYPOWER Computer :: AMD Phenom II DDR2 Configurator

Mega Special I

Lawl... alienware.

Build your own my friend, if you can give a budget for us... we can set you up with parts.

Custom computers built on your own will always give you better performance per dollar.

Go on somewhere like tomshardware.com, and learn up on all the different parts. As boilerrat said it's in general cheaper, if you do your research it's much better quality than stuff from ebay, and learning about the parts will help you diagnose problems if something does go wrong :D .

If you don't feel like spending time building your own, and not having a warranty then I'd go with one of the links from n0obfragger. Although in general I would shy away from alienware because their stuff is in general overpriced.

To say everything on ebay is made from cheap parts in sterotypical and bullshit. They have the same core i7 you'd find at newegg or at anystore. Far as building your own, true it would be cheaper than buying a new dell say at best buy. But on ebay you'd pay half of that or less. Only thing you do have right about ebay is the warranty. Usually you find little warranty, i just look at the sellers feedback to make sure the not selling no d.o.a. objects to people, and i try to only buy from powersellers. But to say they use cheap parts is absurd. You, youself, can buy that expensive set up your talking about then sell it on ebay, so that would make it now cheap parts??? Cheaper not cheap parts. I got a bf2 cd for 3 bucks on ebay, and its the same bf2 cd you use, lol.
