It should be known that during the Indochina war between the Viet Minh (according to imfdb.org)the French had American Bazookas and "Super" Bazookas that they used and was scavenged by the vietnemese. According to the same source, the Vietcong also used German K98K Mausers and MG34 machine guns. I think that these older weapons could add an even more asymmetrical style battles. Aside from the PPSH they use other WW2 Soviet weaponry as well, including the Degtyaryov DP-28 Light Machine Gun. Would Forgotten Hope have any of these weapons? Maybe even the old RPG-2?

Yeah those too, I knew that South Vietnamese soldiers used American WW2 weaponry also, I just think it'll be a good mix instead of just more Ak's and RPG's.

the vc used any and every gun they could get their hands on. therefore any gun made before 1975 could have been used.

And yes FH2 have the K98 and the MG34 but not the others weapons

i don't think we'll see the M1a1 or the carbine and BAR. unless, like in EOD there'll be a French faction, the US only used them to a great degree when the advisors were in country in the late 50s and early 60s,

Nice Steve, because like the DEV's said, most of the weapons and statics were already in place. So if these go in, we can argue that we now have WW2 weapons so why not just develop PR:WW2?

Other way around.

The nature of any 'insurgent' faction is using any weapons available, the viet minh's armoury would sweep across German, Jap, US etc weapons from ww2, its more the fact that if they were commonly used and readily available that I assume will get them in the mod . EoD already has a quite a few if you download it and have a go.

Yes sorry, i obviously meant "them" instead of "us".

Considering PR already employs an array of WWII era weapons and equipment, it'd be safe to assume we'll be seeing something similar in V.

Actually believe it or not but some conventional armies even in the 80's still had WW2 weapons.

I don't think we will see too many weapons from FH2. I don't think it would be fair to them to be robbing them of their weapons. As a FH2 Mod Team member.. I would not feel right asking my fellow Devs at FH2 for all those weapons.

Currently, I alread have some decent WWII era weapons in EoD that could be made more useable for PR. Therefore, before I go groveling at other mods for equipment. I will be reworking what I already have and seeing if it can be used with the PR:V mod.

Afterall, we don't need every weapon used, but just enough for the each army to use for the first release.

Please tell me there will be napalm!?
