I was playing PR on a low spec pc before but have now upgraded to a much higher spec. When I play Pr with this new comp, everything's really sharp and I get alot of textures flickering and sometimes loading late. Basically, it just doesn't look right... I have all the settings on high now where as before I had them all on low/medium. But it looks worse now

Amd 9850 2.5ghz quad core
Nvidia 8800gts (320mb)
4gb ram
3x250gb hdd

screenshots? a bit more description? updated graphics drivers?
4km maps always have some texture flickering for the most part, is it on smaller maps as well?

Ah, it seems to be fixed now. It was because I had negative lod on so it made everything really sharp and it seems to of reduced the texture flickering as well.

How'd you fix it? Please explain.

I think he's speaking about nVidia's Negative LOD BIAS setting that can be adjusted from nVidia Control Panel and further tweaked using nHancer:
