while there are plenty of gameplay aspects to debate/not like, or performance aspects to talk about; I know we all love project reality, though people aren't as motivated to say so when there are things that they want changed


so I thought a little encouragement to talk about what we like about project reality specifically at this point in its development might be in order

so here's mine

1) New maps, yamalia and silent eagle are providing me with hours of replayability, most maps are reliable in performance and play well

2) Firebase bulding dynamics, 200m building radius for 50cals etc is great, it gives you alot more strategic and tactical options, especially with the x4 zoom now on 50cals

3) Integrated PRSP, I joined a Humans vs bots server with 3 friends, had 32 chinese troops constantly storming us on barracuda, was intense and hard as hell, by the end of teh game it was 24 humans against 32 bots in a fun environment without the stress of a fully MP server. For training, for fun, for intense 5 vs 48 human vs bots rounds PRSP is great and so much more accessible to the public now, great job!

Great idea with the thread. There is definitely way too much negative(and badly worded) feedback going around.

It's easy to overlook the enjoyable stuff

Like the HMG zoom, 2x would have been plenty.
Like the most recent rally system with auto 10 minute reload the best.
Love the new maps, every single one.

1. Rally Point change (although 10 min rearm makes it worse).
2. Putitng more love on CnC (still need a lot of improvements though).
3. Deviation change and other aspects of things related to shootign (stances, deployed mode for Marksman, etc.).

4. FPP animations!
5. Civi changes!

The MG3. I just love that weapon.
The new maps obviously. Especially Yamalia and Lashkar Valley. Beautiful maps.
The RP changes/removals.

Insurgent commander's intel system. It simulates real life insurgent spotters perfectly.

marksman improvement puts the kit closer to where it should be (instead of inferior to the saw at all ranges)

But 4 srs:

1) BTR-80A, excellent APC and a great addition to the Russian side. Very balanced asset.

2) SL Radio, it took a few rounds to get proficient with it but now its a breeze. I can get a spot marker down in a couple of seconds. Overall a smart addition, really good thinking to whomever thought of it.

3) Russian kit geometries, they look bloody awesome, cool AK bayonet hanging off as well

1) New RP system, adds a lot more need to care about the construction/defence of FOBs and proper teamplay

2) Revised deviation system

3) SL radio/GTLD/CAS map-markers, improve teamwork and cas (especially on public servers)

and one thing i really hate is that the old maps were removed EJOD will always have a special place in my hart.

1. The explosion and shaking of your screen when someone hits your mine.
2. Lashkar valley definately.
3. Lee enfield getting better optics.

2. New FOB/RP system - emphasises keeping your squad alive/using medic

3. The Chinook

4. CnC mode - but still needs work

And that's it. Loved .8, semi-tolerated .85/7, but .9 is a huge let down

1) Login screen backgrounds
2) Keyboard keys in the commander's laptop are not flat, but a real 3-dimensional objects.

(I haven't yet found third item in PR 0.9 that would have liked. Sorry.)

1. the new Deployable MG with ZOOM! (it's now actually effective and useful)

2. We have rally's again!

3. HAT/AA ambushes on Yamalia, using Dirtbikes to keep mobile. "biker ambush"


So far i give 0.91 an 8 on an overall rating.

I'd say that most of the new maps are good, only 1-2 bad.
They did some nice changes to older maps. Muttrah's changes I'm still unsure about.
Not fond of the new U.S. Little Bird attack heli flight characteristics.

APC rounds actually hurt things now
Civi's can actually use their stuff without worring about a penalty
Listening to spoiled little brats complain about a free mod

Well for 0.91 i really have to say i loved the ability to play maps i mean it was just awesome
also i really liked the new scopes in 0.9 the sights were smaller so u could get better shots!
the last would have to have been the epic arty.

new things for 0.92
i'd lvoe to see morters and possible Germany as a faction? also maybe better performance on dragon fly.
