Fast question about immense lag

I didn't want to post this in the Bugs section, because it might be my computer. Whenever I play PR, the newest version, .917, it runs nice and smoothly. After about 15 minutes of playing, my PR freezes for about 20 seconds, at 5 second intervals. This has never happened to be before. I tried to play at the lowest graphic settings, and this still happens.
My specs:
Acer Aspire M5641
GeForce 9800GT 1.7GB
4 GB RAM
My only thoughts are that I am playing at low graphics, which is actually boosting my framerate, I just dont know it, and I might be overheating my graphics card, which is causing the lag. Maybe I should turn the graphics really high and see if it works then?
Thanks!

Really sounds like you've got a problem with overheating. Check your fans and temperature with
Download SpeedFan - Access temperature sensor in your computer <--Speed Fan, maybe you'll have to buy better and/or additional fans or replace the cooling paste.
If there is no problem, check your RAM, defrag your HDD and check for Trojans/virus.

Sounds like a power supply issue to me.
NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT
It says you need a minimum of 400w
Your power supply (If you didn't change it) is 300w
The fans on your case and or graphics card may not be getting enough juice.
I know on the 9800 page it says "Minimum recommended" BUT, you also have a processor, hard drive, disk drive, RAM, and case fans using your power.
If you don't get any other solutions I would recommend getting a new power supply.
You have almost the same case as I do, which happens to be a mATX form factor. So getting large and powerful power supplies won't be too easy.
Here is the power supply I will most likely be getting soon, as I also need to upgrade from 250w.

Is your page file at least 4+ gigs? If you are running something that is filling up your page file or it is too small to back up you will get lag as the system tries to shuffle around the page file.
I'd suggest making sure you have nothing running in the background including xfire, mumble, Teamspeak, FRAPS, etc for a night and see if you get the same issues.

Wouldn´t the system shut down then if he had to little power? I had the Problem myself and when playing 3d games it would just make my computer to shut off.

I don't think anything is underpowered, because according to Nvidia, my 9800 is a new type that requires "30% the power of a standard 9800". Other then that, overheating still might be an issue. I have a couple of fans in there, one looking like a Nuclear Reactor exhaust tower. Its massive. The 9800 itself has a big-*** fan. I will try some of the stuff you guy's said so far. Ill update you if it helped. Any other suggestions?
Thanks!

Ok I did a simple test. I put an Exaust fan with a 1 foot radius (loool) next to my comp. My comp's side was off. I tested the temps using Speed Fan. My graphics card was, in fact, overheating to about 150F. When I had the fan next to it, it stayed around 90F. After a while, still, I started to lag. Overheating might have contributed to this lag, but its not the only thing thats causing it. =(

Even if power isn't your problem for everything, you should try to get a larger one anyways.
But if nothing else works, try that out.
