When I get into the game, my mouse works but no keyboard at all. How do I go about fixing this?

It's a laptop.

Try to reset your controls.

tried resetting to default, no luck.

Try to run dxdiag.exe and check Input tab for any error messages. If that doesn't reveal anything, then I'm pretty much out of ideas.

One thing you could try is to delete "Battlefield 2" folder from your "My Documents" folder and use regular BF2 to retrieve your profiles, but as you have already reset your controls this probably won't work either.
