this is an odd one.

often when browsing online i like to listen to some music so i run WMP wiredly though Firefox will often freeze, now in task manager i will be using no more than 40% of my ram so what is happening?? is it my realtek hardware having a spaz attack or somthing??

note this doesn't happen on all songs just a fair proportion, could it be linked to the bitrate (though i believe all my music is at the same rate)

this is quite a pain as somtimes it freezes my whole PC and i can't do anything till the track ends.

i wont use Itunes as it will convert all my files.

anyone able to advise??

but the stupid thing is that task manager is not show that lots of resources are being used my ram was at 40% and the CPU is below 10 so why would they be messing up...

could it be down to my hardware/drivers??

This, it won't re-encode all your music, its worth a try to see if it stops the crashing.

Edit, if you're determined to make WMP work, the uninstall your Audio drivers, sweep them using Driver Sweeper, then re-install updated ones.
