Last night I was in Fallujah with my mate. We were in one of the underground caches. It was in a storage room below one of the houses with only one entrance (the ladder from ground level) anyway I was at the end of the tunnel where ladder stands and my mate was in the room as the second line of defense. I shoot the first intruder even before he steps to the ground. And just while I was thinking that only way I can be killed would a grenade in to the tunnel a burst of fire got me instantly. I'm 1000% sure no one step down the ladder and I'm totally out of any angel from up.

So only thing I can think of is his teammates luckily guessed the vertical projection of me from up and shoot trough the ground. So is that possible?

Afaik you can't shoot through those floors, although could be wrong. Maybe get the BR from the server you were on and have a look on there?

You sure a JDAM didn't hit you the exact same moment as the burst?

maybe your mate shot you.

This has happened once to me on Kashan in 0.8, I had a squadmate inside the bunkers around the stairway exit, under the vents.

Suddenly a US guy came up across the opposite end of the bunker and I randomly sprayed my G3 fire in his general area, killing him, but somehow I shot the friendly inside the bunker, getting the 'Cease Fire!' message and the 'Don't hurt your teammates' one on the side of my screen.

You CAN shoot through some walls, such as the ones on Iron Ridge around the apartment buildings near the Ferris wheel. They are small brick ones with paint flaking off, but the rounds still have the same amount of speed and damage.

IIRC I have shot through a wooden floor once in one of those two-story stone buildings on Al Basrah.

Later thought of it so much but I don't know exactly. Almost sure it was not a high caliber though.

Well... I think best way to find is animate the scene. Next time I'm in Fallujah with my mate I will go there re-play the situation. Lets see if he would shoot me through that floor

Maybe your feet stuck through the wall and someone shot them? Gotta love knifing people that way.

thats also what I thought first but we were at the underground levels. So shouldn't be visible from out.

sounds like a case for the CSI group to me..
