To whom it may concern

DISCLAIMER: The following post might be considered 'bitchy' to some. My intention is not to piss people off, act 'bitchy' or call people out on a name-by-name basis on what they do. My intention was to make people rethink how they act in game. This rant is not directed toward JUST one server, but PR in general. Also, this is not supposed to be a poem.

Everything is a lesson for the future.

You ruin my PR experience.
You join my squad, request a kit and then leave only to make your own squad and lose whatever kit you requested from my squad to the enemy.
You do not communicate with other squads or try to work with the teams objectives.
You play in 2 man infantry locked squads all the time while not doing anything beneficial for the team.
You are rude, are quick to insult others and use an excessive amount of profanity.
You crew APCs and do not transport infantry, drop ammo or giving infantry support.
You drive past a full squad walking to an objective in an empty truck that holds eight people.
You constantly lock your squad and only play with certain people, never allowing 'random' people to join.
You constantly request kits without asking the SL if the squad needed that kit or not.
You actually care about your KDR and check your score often to see if someone you just shot is really dead.
You constantly spam all chat with stupid **** no one cares about.
You use sarcasm toward new players and tell them to read the manual rather than telling them to join your squad so you can show them the ropes.
You act as though your tags make you special in some way or another.
You use server rules and the game itself to try and get ahead anyway you can.
You team killed me because your clan owns or runs the server, just because I got to an asset before you did.
You ruin my PR experience.

You die in an open area, and when you get revived you sit there instead of getting cover in order to get healed.

Is this directed at a clan of some sort? I'd send it to them if they do this **** often.

How about lets make this a letter of de-appreciation to noobs. :-D

I ask politely for you to get out of my chopper, and you flip it. Then rage quit. I'm left with a 20 minute spawn. Sigh.. back to facebook.

Because I kicked you out of my squad for screaming/spamming chat, so you devote your lengthy in-game time to killing myself, my squad, and the teams vehicles.

Also, Zebra is epic. =D

There are a number of clans who run servers which this all strongly applies to, clan tags do not make the player. A classic example is when I endevour to help random guys along without prejudice but I'll be damned if I recieve the same in return or I'll help out the (clan) team by doing the boring defending while the team dicks around in our/enemy rear areas, particulary aggravating when it's a clan that does the "cool" jobs like CAS.

There are a crucial things the OP forgot though:
You switch teams and make me opfor, often sabotaging your own game because I am a decent player who doesn't care about sides.
You then wonder how the other team is more organised and collected in combat.
You get in my transport at base and expect me to take you to where you want.
You run straight to the front, neglecting things like rear area spawns, backup spawns and supply lines and then expect to win.
You prone dive when seeing an enemy and complain when you die.
You don't use smoke.
You take a sniper rifle but not a grenadier.
You get all of your clan mates onto your side, chew out anyone who thinks this is unfair and then proceed to threaten players on the other side who take you out in places away from your main you deem inappropriate.
You fly at less than 1500m in a jet and wonder why you're dead <3 minutes after take off.
You move your squad alone to attack a fortified cache position then ***** at the team for not helping you as they deal with another.
You ruin my PR experience because you force me to play worse than I could in order to make up for every shortcoming and mistake that YOU make.

At first I was confused.. love isn't a measurement of TIME!

Lol's aside, You join a server to jump in the jet and blow up all the assets at main base.

I don't think I should have to deal with those who team kill on THEIR OWN SERVER for assets. The easiest way around that is to not play there. Easy enough. The rest of my rant has to do with thinking of others before yourself, which I imagine might be a bit much to ask of some people. However, having common respect for other players is non-negotiable in all cases.

Zebra, I've had the same short coming. Here's a suggestion, try out tacticalgamer's server. I play it a lot and don't really seem to run into any problems with the clan players there. There's the one's and two's, but not much more than that.

You jump in front of me when I'm already healing another player. Wait your god damned turn!

OP - Could not agree more with your post.

Would like to echo the sentiment of the post before mine. And add;

You call constantly for a medic even though I explain that I am on my way,
only to give up when I am on your body!

Have one slight comment regarding the comment below;

I know it's a bit of an exploit, but as it is a ticket based game, I do check
the KDR of my squad, on the whole if our KDR is positive then I know
that we are at least holding our own and doing some good. :)

I also try to keep track of the amount of trucks, APC's etc that we destroy.

BTW I do belong to a clan ;)

I agree wholeheartedly :D It's true that PR isn't a game about kills like say CoD, or Popular Shooter #57, but it's also true that you don't win without killing people. If you want to cap flags you can't just ask them nicely to leave, now can you? ;)

I play in the tournament, and we always check our KDR. To see if our teams winning overall (as much as you can, considering it doesn't show vehicle tickets) and we use it to make sure the guys we drop stay dead. If they haven't given up yet, there's usually a reason :p

I can think of several examples of what Zebra is talking about and in those examples it was a squad far from any objectives telling everyone that while we are losing flags, they ( squad in question) had x number of kills and therefore they are helping the team where they are.
The the game ends, we (the team) have lost but the squad in question has a great KDR.

I think one aspect of the problem is that some people are VERY good at this game in terms of strict combat and they think that translates into being very good overall at Project Reality.

It doesn't.

I do this.

What if I dont want random people in my squad? I like to play with a group of guys that all know each other. Just makes life easier.

Curious I think I know what clan he is talking about but I may be wrong...

I do remember on the UK clan maps I was playing Fallujah (older version .87 I think) and I was sniping in base. I turned around only to find a clan member walk right up to me and shoot me while another clan member picked the sniper kit up for himself and I was in the first sniper squad. Well I punished and immediately I was permanently banned and it took forever to get unbanned (explaining what happened apologizing for punishing the clan member when I had no right things like that etc...)

Chicago is good. Never had a prob with the Devs there and most of the players play for super cereal.

sometimes i play in a locked squad of my own friends or players i know are decent. i know them, therefore it's less stressful than playing with randomers that can often be complete retards or don't have a mic (not having a mic doesn't make you retarded, but i find it's easier).

furthermore, if i'm part of a 'sniper' squad, i'll often lock at two or three. due to the fact that its logically better having a smaller squad.

You are so happy to know how to fly a chopper, that you have to show it by flying low over as yet unspotted squads and provide them with oh so important crates. On the way back you have to fly under bridges and through narrow places to show your 1337 skills. Then you crash or get shot down.

i agree with this however if the clan does this they should not be claiming assets and should be a full squad
