Slow startup=>black screen=> then desktop

Hello,
This is my first post here at the PR forums, I am really excited about trying out PR so I hope you guys can help me with this technical issue. I downloaded The newest version of PR, the torrent and installed both parts without problem. When I attempt to run pr.exe, it starts up, goes to black screen, then right back to desktop. I have tried running as admin but it hasn't helped. Any ideas?
