I know I have other unfinished projects, but they're stopped for "good" reasons, and in the meanwhile I'll be dealing with our lower priority stuff or things that don't depends on third party resources.

The model is the Mercedez Benz L1418 Transport/Logistic Truck,

todo
rearview mirrors, internals, some smoothings, and detailed models of the canvas ans wheels to bake....

awesome work salmonella, really like it. would be interesting if you could make a high poly for the tarp to get the fold effects etc in it. a simple way to do this would to put in the supporting edges etc that you would normally use for the highpoly, subdivide it a few times and then use the push/pull option in the paint deformation menu.

i am sure that you already know of this, but it would definitly make the tarp a lot more realistic for relatively little work (since the whole vehicle does not have to be high poly.

Not shure if this includes changing the edge of the canvas on the lifted version, but along the edge it seems very uniform to me. I would try playing around with making the folds more random and accidental.

Also not that it really matters, but your renders seem to have alot of noise

I tried the default Maya cloth plugin, not the best results, but I think its enough...

humn I didn't like the lifted canvas either, and it will required another texture file, I'll probably make the transport version with no canvas.
The noise is cause I dont have patience to render in "production" setting, at this point I only render things to show some detail before the UVs, AO and export, from now on I'll only show editor shots which are almost how its gonna look ingame.

Update
Added antenna, generic interior, UVs, AO, some detail on wheels, canvas and front grills...
I'm having problems with the texture size, I've mirrored everything to fit in a 1024 tex, but I think I should go to 1024x2048 to properly display the front grills.

the canvas cover looks much better now. a bit generic across but good enough for what is needed. what is current tri count ?

The front looks funny, though might be angle shot in the editor

Looks like the usual 18 Wheeler with a truck bed attached
Cool though

could you be more specific in what is "funny" on the front view?
____

update, rebuilt the uvs prioritizing the funny front grills and made the basic painting

Image

added more details to wheels,
Image

don't know if it could be an issue but it is a little bit narrower and much longer than other trucks, which may cause some difficult steering, don't know...
Image

anyway, its only missing the details on the inside, nad the dirt layer, which actually is what is delaying me the most.

He can add it, there is one on the G wagon ;)

Good job Salmonella as usual. I am eager to see the dusty version. :)
The top of the canvas looks a bit weird, as if two UV parts were misalignated.
