I apologize if this is the wrong spot for this, but I didn't see a tech support part of this forum, only bug reporting. Anyway, I'm DLing PR for the first time and encountered an error message immediately on launch:

"pr.exe has stopped working"

Can anyone assist in helping me get this mod working?

As for the problem, im not sure. have a search in the above forum and Post your system specs. Welcome, hopefully your problem will be fixed soon.

Seems running as admin and using compatibility mode will fix it.

Thanks for the help! Well. running as admin seemed to clear up that problem...unfortunately after it started to launch, it promptly CTD.

One of the suggestions was to change to service pack 3 under properties, but that isn't an option for me.

If u are running Win7 or Vista try with run as administrator.
Right click on it> Properties> Compatibility> Run as Administrator

Ok so, we got the game started now... you installed PR part 1 and 2 yes ? have bf2 fully and correctly patched (1.5) ?

there is a tech forum. just so ya know

I think PR always works best with XP Home edition. When i switched to 7, it was a living hell to get BF2 running.

I run it on w7 fine.

on the patching note, peopel have before mentioned to patch to 1.41 full then 1.5 full. out of interest have you done this?

try setting your textures and dynamic shadows to medium. helps me preventing to CTD after new map loads. althou i sometimes crash for no reason

Indeed, patching just straight to 1.5 won't work you have to do it in order.

Out of interest OP what OS are you using?
