I do believe the TOW on Op. Archer seems a little overpowered due to the fact that they can lock down a majority of the map by putting one on the castle. They can also be placed in the section of map that is in the DoD and can see a pretty good area. If it was possible I'd like to see the TOW removed from Op. Archer as the new zoomable .50 cals are useful enough vs. Gary(which was extremely nerfed IMO, but thats for another thread ;) )

If its possible its possible. I don't think they are overpowered.

I usually build FOB and assets on Fortress for reconnaissance and firesupport. Its not unrealistic to have a forward outpost on such a location with TOW and other long range weapons. And its not unbalanced. If you get killed by the guys on the fortress over and over again, just go up there, build a hideout in some distance and attack them with 3-4 guys. The squad at the fortress is usually busy with spotting and killing stuff with assets and they are an easy target for direct attacks. Additionally, if they are busy with defending themselfes against constant attacks, TOW and HMGs will not be active at that time. If you accomplish to kill them all, you may be rewarded with some shiny kits. (Sniper/HAT/LMG etc.) ;)

its really easy to snipe the TOW operator, or to get him off his position using a 50cal or PKM

remember, taliban infantry don't have tracers....

however it is true that the TOW is used against infantry a little too much from a gameplay standpoint, but that is true for the entire game, not just archer, so any feature introduced to address that will also address your problem to an extent :)
