Raise minimum post count

Raise it before you have to suggest here so people don't make accounts and make like 100 suggestions in a day then they get banned and make another one. Raise it to 200 or 300 it would make this section with a lot less re-suggestions and pointless stuff.

I say raise it to 50 if you're going to raise it. And if you're banned, your IP address is banned, so you can't make a new account.

I'd prefer this in addition to having to be cleared to post in the suggestion forum.

For example:

FORUM-USER1 has achieved a 50 post count and may now submit his name to be cleared to post in the Suggestion forums. Once a DEV/MODERATOR has cleared the individual they are cleared to post.

This would ensure that people go through a "Screening" of sorts before being granted access to see ifthey just spammed posts.

The only downside is no DEVs/MODs must now take time out of their day to clear each person which seems unfair to them.

Guys you do realize that at 25 posts, people are just going to other parts of the forums to post suggestions... So this would just make that happen more often.

I think a better way is to not allow any posting for a few days after you've created an account. It removes the people who just make an account to ***** or suggest **** we've already heard about a million times before.

What's the minimum for suggestions now? With the above changes, 25 sounds reasonable to me.

There are plenty of delete-key happy forum admins here. I like Waffles idea. Let the suggestions flow and the MOD's will sort them out...

Just get rid of the suggestions feature or limit it severely to issues of cosmetics, performance or the posting of PoC's. Why? None of the other suggestions get taken seriously anyway, that's pretty obvious from watching the development of the game. We could all save ourselves the effort and just do away with the timesoak of a forum.

I think it's about the correct amount of posts. I for example tend to post quite a few posts while I visit forums. I fail to see why I should post more, often uninteresting posts, in order to start posting here. I understand the limit active know, but I think that it's the quality of the suggestion that should decide whether it should stay in the forum, not the activity/spam of the user.

all we need is a reputation system if you ask me. you can have ppl post 50 post that make sense or 50 post that aren't useful at all but not useless enough to get deleted.

I don't see why you all care so much but the obvious solution would be Moderators having to approve new threads in the Suggestion section.

These.

First, what's the problem? Resuggestions? Keeps mods on their toes.

Otherwise I know many people who've come to the PR forums originally with experience and only truly joined the community after making a suggestion or giving feedback. Saying someone isn't part of the community, or doesn't look at the forums until he/she has an account and is posting a **** load of spam is BS.

having less posts does not necessarily make you less qualified for posts. Sure this may aply for many but just not for all.

When i was new to the forums i first did not post at all. I just spent the time reading alot and figuring out how it all is sorted and stuff.

So i would say that i actually waited until i knew what it was about and then started posting.

--> don“t raise the bar!

People area already put off PR by what they perceive as an elitist attitude

the 50post limit isn't there to stop people suggesting stupid things, its to encourage people to take a look around the forums before suggesting things.

Maybe we as a community should try to be more accepting and more understanding of these members, explain why their suggestion won't be realised, and encourage them to think more about how PR works.

We should be more inclusive

its like on these tech support threads in the wrong section, don't worry, a MOD will move it in due course...be nice to the person, help them with their problem, if you can't say something useful, and you can't be nice say nothing :) , if a MOD is required due to a problem with the thread or post...use the moderation options button to the right of the post.

Come on lads, lets be gentlemen.
