Hey!

I finally decided to give mumble a second try, so i installed it again.

label: Project Reality Official Mumble Server
address: 217.146.93.46
port: 64738

Thing is, i cant connect to the server, it says : "you connected with an invalid username, please try another one"

Do i have to create a new username somewhere?

As i remember from my last time trying mumble, server admins want us to use the same name in mumble as on the pr server, so i typed in my standard name (CA_PVT Desmo [EEF] ), and that results in above error. I then tried to just type in part of the name, "desmo" , i can connect just fine....

And yeah, i have looked through a lot of posts concerning mumble, searched my best on these forums, but havent found a solution.... If the solution is already posted somewhere, well, then i guess my wife is right, i dunno how to find stuff ...

Anyways, help appreciated.

Desmo

Mumble has some requirements to usernames. I don't think you can have spaces or brackets [ ]. That's why just "desmo" works and it's probably enough to know who you are without all the clan tags and whatnot.

im on vista aswell you also to run it on admin to use when ingame
