Little CO ideas....

1. UAV auto circling: Once a few squads are communicating, you cannot spend so much time in the UAV, it would be useful to leave it circling round a suspect area leaving you deal with the squads and return, would also help with knowing exactly where it is.

2. Waypoint markers: When triggered you get a little 'beep' which can be missed if you're talking, you see nothing on the CO screen (just on normal player view), a text to CO or all team or it flashes on the map or something like that. Plus I can't find out exactly what triggers this thing apart from:
Insurgents and other irregular forces (except for the militia) do not have
access to the UAV. They can gain some intelligence on enemy troop
movement by sending out informants. This is simply done by placing
waypoints at the locations where you want the informants to head to.
About 5 minutes after placing a waypoint the informant will be on
location and report if there are multiple enemies in his area (6 or more).
The reports take about 30 to 60 seconds to reach the commander and
can be used to determine where the opposition is approaching from.
Does it report Armour/vehicles? I think a large number of players don't know why I type 'enemies on A'.

I believe the holding pattern UAV has been suggested...but due to the fact that it's really a modified TV missile they can't do it.

As for the informant markers I think the better method would be to have it beep until the commander accepts it (like a SL requesting a marker or Area Attack)....but sadly I believe that it too is hardcoded.

Maybe make the beeps a couple seconds longer and a bit louder? Idk, just a suggestion
