I was just wondering what model of the "huey" is being used for the USMC. I plan to do a little research before i go and suggest a new heli for the USMC and the Canadians

It's a "N" model huey UH-1N

aren't they using the venom now? the one with teh extra bit on top etc?

No, the EOD version is the single engined Huey, the UH-1 Iroquois.

the USMC currently uses UH-1N and UH-1Y, but the point is, that in PR we have a UH-1N while the Cobra/Viper is a AH-1Z that shares parts with the Venom/UH-1Y and not with the UH-1N (that would be the AH-1W Supercobra)
