IED kits on Op Archer

So every time I go to get an artillery IED kit at the Taliban main on Operation Archer, there is usually no kits missing. So, I would assume that people simply don't know about them, or had forgotten they were added last patch. They're in a harder to find place, so people aren't stumbling across them like other maps, so I figured I would mention them again in the hopes that people will make good use of them.
They're all insurgent kits, not Taliban combat engineer. So, you get the Skorpion SMG instead of the shotgun, and there is no field dressing. But, on the plus side, you get some snazzy headwear that the Taliban don't normally use.

I actually did not know of these...thanks a lot. I love that kit. Where exactly are they? I assume in the main somewhere.

It is possible to get 8 demo experts and 2 combat engineers for a grand total of 50 placed arty IED's, 300 land mines, 32 grenade traps and 8 claymore mines!

good to know as i was under the impression that the last patch was just bug fixes and minor tweaks that i wouldnt notice so never bothered to read the manual (agian)

I find myself using rifleman AP more...
Claymore + cache building = 360 degree coverage of IED and claymore around the building for two consecutive circle of destruction.
When the VW stops near cache building, they all die.
I only used that as a self-destruct button kind of thing...

Arty IED's definitely being ignored since the last update I guess. Personally I love that kit and love to use arty IED but have to confess that mostly I really scare to use them. This thing is a real monster and you have to be very careful where you place it.
BTW... as subject came here can some1 please tell me the effective range/area of the Arty IED. I really want to use them on INS defense lines but don't wanna destroy my own cache by it.

Isn't there a team wide limit on mines and other placeables to keep the server from crashing?

I don't know....I've never tried to place that many mines, but I guess that makes sense that the game would have that built in.

It's a player limit. 30mines per person. 4 grenade traps, 5(i think?) arty ieds.
