Just a quick question with the new tank's effect.

I discover, on my own, that when you shoot too close to F.F. you kill them, but what i mean is : i was engagin a technical, 600m away from me, clear of any F.F. but that where some infantry near the tank, when i shoot, i kill them, so i wanna know if its pure "badluck" or if the blast realy kill infantry. I known that when you shoot a 120mm you have to make sure there is no personal close to it ( In real life ) cause the pressure made by the round going off can blown there hears. So is it a new feature or a very not lucky shot ? =D

This happened yesterday on Tactical Gamer as well.
We were inside of Gaza city as IDF, reviving db's squad. Our Merkavas were providing support a few feet away.
There was still contact firing down on us, so once db was revived, he took cover near a Merkava so the medic could patch him up in relative safety.
Suddenly, the Merkava db was crouching next to opened fire with its main cannon, taking out the approaching enemy along with db himself.
It was one of those "What the hell?" moments.

so i'm not crazy, it does realy happen... Great.. i love that feature ( if its a real feature ! )

been within 50m of a tank when it fires its main gun can be fatal or seriously injuring anyone within the radius.
hope this helps a little.

I know all this, im in an Armored Regiment, but, what i wanna know is, did the R-Dev add this kind of feature or is it pure hazard ?

Some blast effect may be added but I'm highly suspecting that 50 m. rule is strictly in use right now. other wise someone would already mentioned about it somehow. I think I'll try it to see the reality
