Can't see shadow when riding on a BTR

On muttrah city I was riding on a BTR on Mec team. I was in a tank squad and I was riding on like outside of it . When I noticed that I couldn't see my shadow on the ground but my gun which was a mp5....weird.....

This is the same for every vehicle and as a player you never draw your own shadow on the ground (nor your hand weapon, that only happens when your sitting in a vehicle).
It is a vBF2 "bug" and there isn't anything we can do about it.
