As an alternative to insurgency mode, how about a game mode where Bluefor is required to defend checkpoints from Insurgent forces.
- The checkpoints must spawn on roads.
- Each checkpoint spawns with 2 M-249's on concrete road blocks, pointing opposite directions, or 2 HMMV's with .50 cals spawn on the road block. Only Transport HMMV's and other allowed assets spawn at main.
- The spawn point would potentially be a rucksack type spawn inside a foxhole.
- Only 2 roadblocks active/exist at one time.
- Increase bomb car count, but not drastically. Maybe 2 more at spawn.
- INS gets static caches around the map, all 10 upon start might be a bit much, maybe 4 or 5 at a time. Bluefor gets little or no benefit from destroying these caches to avoid game devolving into a standard INS round.
- The Bluefor could potentially gain intel points to destroy static hideouts and spawn points in a predetermined radius. This will add to the sappers benefit on this type of map.
I do not know how feasible this idea is to code.
