I'm dreading the possibility of virtually everyone migrating form PR:BF2 TO PR:ARMA 2 once
PR:ARMA 2 IS released, leaving no online players to play with/against .
How likely is it that this will happen ?

This is pretty unlikely i'd say. Not everyone will have ARMA2 or will be able to run it, and playing PR:ARMA2 doesn't have to exclude playing PR:BF2, since the two will offer different experiences. In short, there's nothing to worry about

I dunno tbh, if its really good then alot of players may move over, but if it doesn't overcome alot of what I found annoying in normal ArmA, then I don't see why it would

I won't move to PR:Arma2 because I hate Arma 2

I play ARMA 2 and PR still, soo long story short, I think people can play 2 games. It may lose a little interest, but it will certainly not die...

Not every player has ARMA2, nor can every players PC run ARMA2, nor dose every player want to get ARMA2 and as such PR:BF2 will not die... A few players may migrate natrually but most will most likley play both games since they will differ.

I'm sure once PR:ARMA2 is released, PR:ARMA2 will not be "better in every way". Sure many things about it will be better than PR:BF2, but it will not be able to meet many areas PR:BF2 excels in.

I plan to have myself play both equally, depending on how the servers are full. If the servers are hard to connect to IE the game takes years to connect, I will stick with BF2.

If the game runs as quasi-flawlessly as BFPR (I made an acronym!) does, then I'm sure I'll choose it instead.

ArmA 2 sucks and I've heard the same thing from other people. So....I highly doubt that PR:BF2 will die out.
Maybe PR could make it epic, but the scale is just too huge for my taste.

in the begins of pr nearly noone played it, perhaps the same with pr arma..
tbh i think arma2 is a bit too simulatorish although it has some very neat features

I'm also another hater of the Arma series.

It's never 'felt' like OP:F and the fun that could be had.

BF2 is rubbish but it feels good and for that I like normal PR but I doubt I'll be playing Arma2 R.

There is no freakkin way that I switch from PR to Arma 2 PR, I hate the gameplay in Arma 2, its not as smooth in any way, and by that I dont mean "perfomance-smooth.."

I still play PR 0.5 with a load of people lol so I doubt that the latest version will lose popularity.

haha nope....i have many friends saying arma 2 PR wont catch on as well as bf2 PR for many reasons, one is becasue of other mods like ACE which also focuses on realism.

Also from what i know so far ARMA2 PR doesnt have the same game play as BF2 PR

No, pr:bf2 will not die. It has a huge player base and alot of the people I have talked to have expressed "disgust" for arma 2. I think some players will switch over of course, but it wont be anywhere near dieing

im thinking about buying it in two months, when i got my new computer, im still not sure, but time till then will tell, if its worth it
