Can't play PR 0917 - Windows 7 Ult 32-bit

I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit after numerous problems with the 64-bit. After I switched to 32-bit, I installed BF2 again and then downloaded (in order) the BF2 1.50 patch, PR 0917 part 1, and part 2. When I went to install the patch, it said I already had it installed and the installer quit. Okay then... So I go to install part 1 of the game and then part 2 afterwards. The game installed fine, but then I went to play it and it said I needed the BF2 disk to play it. This was odd, because if I remember correctly the 1.50 patch eliminates the need of using a disk. So then I popped in the BF2 disk after and went to start up the game agian. The screen went black, like it was starting up the game, and then a few seconds later it went back to the desktop. No message pops up, just quits to the desktop right away. I tried running the application as computer administrator and in compatibility mode and still nothing happens. Does anyone have an idea of how I may be able to fix this?
