Project Reality Forums

Hello there, everyone. So, I recently updated to version .917, but now, whenever I start the game, it simply crashes. It shows the little title thing that says "project reality" on some dogtags, the screen goes black as if it's going to start, then it just goes back to the desktop without any kind of error message. I tried running as an administrator to no avail. I'm on windows 7 x32. Please help! I wish I could give more information; just tell me what might be helpful to know. Thanks!
EDIT: One important thing to note is that it also crashes when I try to launch just plain Battlefield 2, so it's not a problem with PR.

Then when you run that shortcut, it should still crash but an error will come up.

My best suggestion is to go to your "\My Documents" folder, and delete the whole Battlefield 2 directory in there. Then load up BF2, and once you log into your account in BF2 you can exit and start PR properly

Sorry about that, Jigsaw, didn't mean to put it in the wrong place; I fixed it by going into my documents, battlefield, profiles, default, then changing the resolution to 800x600@60Hz. My best guess is that I changed monitors since the last time I played, and this new monitor had an "unrecognizable" resolution. Thanks anyways!
