Mic isnt working in-game

Hello, i have a problem with my mic. A week or so ago, I was playing and my mic worked fine. Then when i changed server it just stopped working in-game. People could se me transmit but they didnt hear anything. I went to options and did the mic-test and I couldnt see any reaction. At this point I checked if the mic was working outside the game. I alt-tabbed out and checked in skype and in ventrilo, and the mic worked fine.
So now im getting sick of playing PR without a mic, it isnt very fun is it?
I've read around for a while and i havent really found a similar problem exept this:

I also have several mics installed in the audio panel. One is the soundmax mic and the other one is called 2- C-Media USB headphone set. It doesnt matter which one of these i use as default, the mic still works except in PR.
This is how the sound panel looks:

I use a USB-soundcard into which i connect my headset. Thats why i have 2 mics in the sound panel, The C-Media mic is when i connect via my usb-soundcard and the soundmax mic is when i connect right into the computer.
Anyway i've been testing in BF2VoiceSetup.exe (the setup that pops up after installing BF2) and it doesn matter if i use soundmax or C-Media USB. It still wont work in the game.

To add even more confusion the mic was working, then it stopped working and I didnt do anything to make that happen. And yes i've reinstalled PR and BF2!
Any ideas?

Could be some network or firewall problem. It's quite common in BF2 to run VOIP server on a different machine than the game server.

Thanks for your reply, when i run PR on my other PC with XP voip works just fine. And I always play with my computer in DMZ, all ports open and disabled firewall.

If you have several microphones and several softwares that can use those microphones (like skype, for example) go thru all those apps and their settings and make sure they don't have mute or similar settings enabled. To make sure, open those apps one by one and from withing the app mute & unmute microphones they use.
