How long do you play a version of PR untill you get bored and want the next update?
I find i only play for a few weeks regularly on a new version, then rarley untill a new patch comes out.
It used to be 2 or 3 months now down to 3 or 4 weeks.

Around 3 weeks. Then I play about 2 hours a week until the next version comes out.

I never get bored of a version. I just get bored of rounds.
But sometimes in a version, I am just urgently waiting for the next version to fix it. But yet again, I have to be a patient bear.

past versions never although .9 is the most annoying one yet.
getting a little bored now tbh as tactics are getting unecissary in favor of run and gun and fast reaction times.

Never get bored. Every round is different and that's what makes it fun!

I've grown more frequently bored of PR since .85. Now I can barely stand to play a round.

I never get bored of PR and never will! The community and relatively frequent releases/updates keep the experience fun and fresh, not to mention all the events.

I grow disinterested after I can predict the likely outcome, and since the maps rarely and tactics absolutely never change, it becomes a simple matter of discovering what strategy the enemy is using. I can then take a look at the relative skill of my team (gathered from a number of different, hard to describe factors, KDR not being one of them), and know within about 50 tickets how the game is going to end. This of course is subject to wild burst of luck that occurs at random.
I don't think I've seen any new tactics since .7 come to think of it.

Pretty much this, it also depends that if I join the round goes on like beating a dead horse or if I have friends who are in the mood to play.
But when this new release comes with mortars I think I'll be playing more than usual.
One thing that really bugs me is being able to see how the battle is going to end up.
Like 20 minutes in all of your assets are destroyed and flags are taken from you (muttrah)
And team stacking where a whole clan vs everyone makes me leave much faster.
Maps, always the same thing... camp here... camp there... tank goes that way.
To keep people playing more, you need to keep variation in maps and game modes.
Predictable gameplay leads to repetitive gameplay.

QFT.
I can usually last about 2 hours between updates nowadays. They always seem to be adding more of what we already had, and not improving the aspects of the game left untouched for the past few years.

I can barely play a round or two unless I get good maps or a good squadleader... or I'm squadleading good squad members. I DO remember have tons of fun back in 0.8, though. I still keep on going back to PR, mind you. Games like CoD4 or BF:BC2 never seem to do what PR does, tbh, offer teamplay, that is.

I rather dislike when a new version comes out. The servers all get filled up with people who don't seem to have ever played the mod before. It doesn't get really enjoyable until about 3weeks into a release IMO.
Of course updates are great, but I never get tired of the current release. If I did, it would mean that PR in general is boring me. And, it just hasn't come to that yet, thankfully.

I get bored with maps mainly, some of which have been in PR since 0.3/2006 (Jabal).
Round enjoyment depends on the level of teamwork/quality of squad leaders.

I don't really get bored with the release... although there are specific situations that I get bored in. Luckily I just avoid those situations and my PR experience is mostly fun again.
Take 0.8 for example. Deviation level was stupid, so what did I do? I became the logistics/firebase squad. It was heaps of fun sussing out new locations for firebases, switching between covert [no defense] firebases and really obvious ones with good defenses that would bleed the enemy of tickets or intel. Once 0.85 came out, I reverted back to defense [and sometimes attack].
0.9's major Achilles' heel is the new maps in my opinion. I hate saying anything bad about anything in PR, especially maps/models/gamemodes because I know how much effort goes into them... but I've tried and tried to enjoy the new maps... but the only ones that I've found enjoyable has been Lashkar and Beirut. I used to hate insurgency and love AAS, and then around 0.85 that balance started to tip with the rebalancing of insurgency.
I garner no enjoyment from [in order of how much they make me sad desc] Yamalia, Silent Eagle, Dragonfly, Iron Ridge, Siege @ Ocham. These are maps I hvae no idea how to make better... other than removing them. We already skip them multiple times per day on our maplist, with quite a few being excluded from maplists just because they tend to kill off the server. Gaza Beach, Barracuda, Fools Road, Qwai and Asad Khal have been broken in some way by 0.9, whether it be unbalanced factions or the unwelcome (to me) addition of AASv3. I thus avoid these levels in order to keep my PR time enjoyable. So I am left with Fallujah, Archer, Lashkar, Beirut, Basrah, Jabal, Ramiel, Kashan, Muttrah,
Kozeolsk and Karbala that I can extract some fun out of... 6 AAS and 6 Insurgency.
0.91 is still fun, but only when the teams play as a team, not as 4-9 independent squads doing whatever they so please, as what happens in so many occasions.

yeah, i remember back when i first started, with the laser like accurate rifles (not that i want them back) tactics were more varied due to the simple law which dictated life and death. yeah it was taken down cause it was too easy to hit a guy in terms of game play, but that also meant it was easy for them to hit you. the whole "it was too easy to die" argument that got it taken out was moot tbh.
the rally changes in .9 definitely made a huge difference as well. now combat is concentrated on fronts and lines whereas before you had people making the effort to flank. now as soon as you die you are back in the main line.
however i've yet to get bored of PR i dont play as often as i used to but thats simply cause i dont have the time to waste with it. i crash quite often so i never really get to enjoy a full round anyways so i play other things more often.
also yeah come to think of it .7 was probably around the time i played the most frequently for the longest time durations. whatever happened to Mestia? i used to love that map.

What's all this talk of Tactics making it boring - change them!
Team wide tactics/strategy are rare as rocking horse shit, when do you see a CO that has the power/authority/respect/experience/desire to really implement a team wide strategy? I certainly don't/can't when I CO - I am generally passing intel and helping squads work together doing what they decide.
None the less I see COing as an untapped area of immense enjoyment (read non boredom - like a mega realistic RTS ) , but most people don't have the patience or the little psychological approach needed to make it work.
Again if you're bored:
Get into Mumble servers TG/Alpha/Pelituka good Mumble use brings lots of newness to PR.
Learn something new for you really well on Coop - trans or attack helis, armour, SF engineer use, Jets ......
Always inf? Go armour for a month?
Change servers, change roles go play with the Russians they play so different from the Americans for example.
This game can be played at so many levels from the lone wolf sniper/specialist to CO on Mumble talking with 32 living breathing (winging complaining)

guys.
