I an fed up with .9 and I can't take it anymore!

I have been a loyal PR player since the glory days of .5. I used to run a server at my own expense just so I had a decent place to play. I even upgraded my PC from a shitty Athlon XP to a beefier Core 2 Quad at great expense to myself in 2007.

And for what? Absolutely nothing! I just upgraded my pc for the second time just so I could play PR. And guess what? No change. So I uninstalled PR from my less than a week old i3 system. Why because I can't take it anymore! How the hell is 1000$ PC not able to run .9?

I can't take the lag and constant stuttering.

I can't take my frames dipping into the single digits.

I can't stand it when I crash to desktop at random.

But most of all I can not tolerate this unoptimized piece of **** called .9!

Project Reality was the only game I played because I loved it. It was what Battlefield 2 should have been in the first place. And dare I say it? It crashed way less than Vanilla. Now I can't even look at it anymore.

If you devs refuse to fix .9 you will lose more and more players until one day project reality will be just another forgotten mod, like POE is.











EDIT: My system is an i3-530, 4 gigs ram, 7 pro 64 and XP pro in dual boot, and a 5770 gpu. My internet is 5mps cable.

Sorry about that. I too lag a lot, but I think my computer's due for a reformat anyway. However I've only just gotten into the mod, so I know nothing of these lagless glory days you speak of.

.9 means that it's not a full 1.0 version, meaning there's going to be unoptimized ****.

Also, you didn't pay for this as far as i know, upgrading your computer was your own doing.

Lastly, i have an old Athlon 64 6000+ Dual Core with an ATI HD4890 1Gig, and 3 gb of DDR2 Corsix.... co.... I forgot how to spell it..

You also have to realize that they're working on it, and even they themselves are having issues on most thing. Hell, my computer so far cost a total of 1400, half my upgrades, the other half is that my dad bought a stock HP.

Turn down your textures. That should help. =P


Also remember that this is a FREE mod done in the spare time of people who have LIVES. I've been here since .5 as well, and I personally am glad to see the mod is going into a direction of trying to push the limits rather than the path of Blizzard where they try to keep it so no one has to ever upgrade their computers.

Anyways, if one little patch is going to cause you to leave then you have issues. They know of some lag issues, and are attempting to fix them without losing quality. =/ Be patient... damn.

If you aren't even man enough to post from your real forum user name then why the hell should anyone bother reading your little whiny rant? Just because your computer is new doesn't mean you can run everything maxed. Lower your textures to medium and most of the issues are fixed. My next question is did you even bother trying to get help in the PR support area?

I am sorry you are unhappy with .9 however, post legitimate bugs in the bug section or seek support in the support section.

And do so with a new account please. I'm banning this one for stupidity.
