Hey, I have been interested in PR for quite some time, I use to play during the first couple of months of its release, but sense then, have note given much thought to it till now, I recently got a laptop and was wondering if you think it would run PR or BF2 atleast playable or at all, here are the specs.

Asus k50 notebook
3GB ram
GMA 4500M <-- note the best for gaming(I know)
2.2GHZ Dual Core Intel Pentium T4000
64 Bit
Windows 7

I am sorry if I posted in the wrong section, I didn't really see anything like what I am asking,

Do a lot of people still play PR?

Thanks in advance.

I'd say install it and give it a shot mate as you will be the best at finding out if it works. I have a laptop with a Intel Dual Core 2.26 ghz and a 9600m GT and it runs well with every setting on highest and a res at 1950 x 1080 except textures, thats on medium cus Project Reality crashes on load for me otherwise. Install Battlefield, if you can run it on high settings and get good fps, install PR and see what performance you get.
I can get 50 fps sometimes all the way down to 10 fps sometimes, but it runs well and I am ecstatic!

I can easily play PR on my laptop, the only problem I've ever run into is the laptop overheating after extended play. So i suggest getting something to help cool your laptop, there are loads of cooling pads available. Without one you may run the risk of your laptop shutting down because of the heat.

If you already have BF2, you should really check if PR works. Just patch it up to v1.5 and install the appropriate PR patches.

And plenty of people still play, the PR community is GROWING if anything.

1. Install BF2
2. Patch to 1.41
3. Patch to 1.5
4. Install PR part 1
5. Install PR part 2
6. Play

I play PR on a laptop. Textures on medium and most other stuff on high.

Then again I did scrape together and buy an XPS laptop... Lolz..

It's so much easier going to a LAN party with a laptop then a desktop. ;D

EDIT: I used to play it on my old inspiron 2343247891something something. It's retired to my sister now and is slowly breaking. I had to run it all on low, but it was still fun. All you have to do is be more careful about it overheating. I used to prop it up on empty CD cases to help. :)

PR makes my big laptop overheat a lot, and this thing is designed to be good at keeping itself cool!

i play on a laptop as well
but that a intel card is well an intel card it could still run though on lowest settings just because of the card xD if you had a real card medium or high.

2009 Unibody Macbook Pro 15", Bootcamping Vista. Works like a charm, all settings high and 2x AA, running ~60fps consistently.

Been playing on a bootcamped MBP since I started in 2006.

Originally that was with the first gen MBP and XP, but im currently using the 2009 Unibody with Windows 7.

All high, 2xAA and around 60 FPS on average. Like Celestial said, works like a charm :p

I ran the game just fine on a laptop similar in style to that. I had 3 gigs of ram, and I"m not positive about the GPU but it was similar and I ran at high settings.
