Hey guys i just download PR and whenever i try to start it, it goes to a black screen for 2 seconds, then back to desktop and thats it.

My installation was like this.
-installed bf2
-updated it to 1.5
-installed PR part 1 v.91
-installed PR part 2 v.91
-set up both
-changed PR to run as administrator and in windows xp compatibility mode.

Tried restarting my computer and same things happens every time. Pr logo comes up, then bf2, than back to pr, than goes to a black screen, then goes back straight to desktop.

My comp specs-
Windows 7 64 bit
Ati radeon 5870
4gb ram
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU x4 @ 3.16 GHz

Whats next for me to try?

Make sure it is running as administrator, which I know you have doing, but do it again. Or try to install again...

I had the same problem but I doubled checked on the running as administrator twice then it worked.

Thanks for the help, i fixed it though. i coulda sworn i updated it to 1.5 but instead i did to like 2.2 or something ha . Thanks anyways !

Yea run as admin.it got me a few times when i had the original v.1

I have this same exact problem right now.. I have started from scratch..

-Installed Bf2
-(Attempted to patch to 1.5) *gives me error mesage saying "Game is already patched to a newer version"
-Installed pr .91 part 1
-Installed pr .91 part 2

So, how exactly do I run the program "as admin" or is it my 1.5 patch that aint workin thats messing it up.

Dear Project reality admins/users,
i have the same probs.
i didnt need to install pacht 1.50 because i alrealy had a newer version.
installed the 2 parts, clicked on the shortcut, screen turned black and nohthing happend.
i have runned the game as administrator for some times and noting chanced.
can someone help me?

I just bought BF2. Installed it the first time with PR and it didn't work. Uninstalled everything and just installed BF2 and it worked fine. Reinstalled PR again and its back to the way it was before, as mentioned in my previous post ^.

And also.......I don't know if my copy of BF2 is already at 1.5 or not. I just bought it and when I try to update to 1.5, it says I'm already at a high version. But in the ReadMe..it says Battlefield 1.3????? WTF?

be me he says the same.

I just downloaded the 1.41 patch and it doesn't say i'm at a higher version. I'm gonna install BF2 then 1.41 then 1.5 (hopefully) then the PR mod.

UPDATE- The 1.5 patch will now install!

It works!!!!!!!!!!!! Uninstall the PR mod. download and install the 1.41 patch....then install the 1.5 patch.....then reinstall the PR mod. Thats what I did!

sorry if it is off-topic.
but does everyone have to wait hours before you even get the v1.50 setup? =S

i installed patch 1.41 and then 1.50, reinstalled both PR parts and nothing chanced =(

Does someone have any other options?
i got win 7 32 bit btw

There are 2 realtively new threads about this. Try using the search funktion, it actually works sometimes.

Btw: the soultion is in the second thread. Those two are just from a quick search using the keywords "installing; nothing; happens"

Sorry, dont want to be a spammer, but i want that PR works so soon as posseple.
But i wont do it again =)

I have tried everything i can think to repair PR, but it all wont work.
Yesterday i installed PR 0909 and patched it to 0917 wont work.
i do not know what to do anymore =/
