On Win7 x64, PR Mumble has trouble connecting to Battlefield 2, it usually requires me to hammer the 'reload plugin' button until the program crashes, and then after a Mumble restart, there is a 50/50 chance of it working.

Any ideas?

Because I don't know your system I'll jump directly to an answer (logical, isn't it). I think the best results are achieved when running pr.exe, bf2.exe and PRmumble(0.5beta).exe without any compatibility settings enabled, but admin rights enabled on mumble. Also, make sure you don't have any other overlay-enabled software (like xfire or fraps) running same time with mumble and bf2. Or at least disable the overlay. I'm not sure about the overlay part, but generally the less stuff you have to hook with the original process, the better.

It would be most helpful to know how you define "not working" and how you determain this state.

What are the symptoms of mumble not working, when do they occur?

Running Mumble with or without Admin rights doesn't make a difference from what it looks like

Have XFire running, will try without that

Not working means the BF2 plugin is not loading and it doesn't show the 'Battlefield 2 connected' message when I'm ingame and on a server.

hey bosco, could you have a go with vanilla mumble? just to see what happens?
