Hi,

I have installed th BF2 editor but when I start it up it tells me that I need DirectX 9.0c or higher.
I have downloaded from here: Download details: DirectX 9.0c - End-User EULAs
but when I try to install it, it gives me this:
So where do I have to install it?
Or maybe some of you know a better download than this one.

open up your Battlefield 2 folder and right click on the bf2editor.exe and select compatibilty mode XP Service Pack 3

yes I know the BF2 editor is already installed but thank you anyway

its not the install bf2editor.exe
its the exe you execute with your shortcut this one also needs to be on compatibilitymode XP Service Pack 3

you dont need DirectX9 if you can have DX10 or higher !

yes you are right it works thanks a lot
but now there is another probleme!!!!!
if I try to load a map it sais mods/*modname*/levels/*levelname*/init.con not found!
How can i fix this???

you need to unzip the map
