in my opinion, could the "OH-6" different armed.

in any round/map there still in use , it will be only use as a "AH-6"
not for spotting targets for the bigger ones that can try it out..
A10, AH-64, ... etc... or completely replaced him with the "UH-6"

I think he's trying to say add the kiowa warrior to replace teh littlebird, but with the capacity to spot for heavier air assets like the apache etc, which is a resuggestion ofc.

Realistically, the OH-58 Kiowa is used more for scouting and target accusation. The OH-6 is mostly used in the MH-6 and AH-6 variants by special operations.

In PR the Kiowa wouldn't stand a chance when being used for surveillance/TA, its simply too large a target and by the time its in range to lase/designate a target, it would most likely be getting shot at.

it means : the blackhawk supports by Supply drops and Weapons
a good squad can build a FOB by Supporting helis...!
when the LB Attacker changed into the transporter......

I meant compared to the OH-6. The OH-58 is generally used as a TA/Scout, where the OH-6 is almost exclusively used by SOCOM. The Kiowa in an AH variant is used by come Cav units, but its very lightly armed. It was always meant to be used as a TA. The OH-6 was designed more as SOCOM light attack helicopter and maneuverable transport.

i recently read the US army is putting out tenders to replace or upgrade this airframe, current form puts it as a upgrade, not completely sure but i did hear a counter rotating rotor system was being talked about. if any one actually knows whats happening that would be great.

Scout helicopters really don't have a purpose until or if view distance is ever increased.

Its always going to be useless, It's the same You can see them so they can (technically) see you. There's not Spotting except for hovering at 1000 and catching a glimpse of targets, otherwise your minced meat.

If the angle at which the second-seat laser in the little bird was increased so it can pretty much look completely vertical, it would have a purpose.

The problem now is the vehicle being lased can usually see the LB since it can't get the angle down to lase it.

I know some people who use it in a 6-man Apache squad on Kashan and it can be pretty effective if the LB crew know what they're doing.

I've seen the havok shot down several times by the LB on Kashan, and vice versa with the Eurocopter and apache. It's useful if the pilots know what they're doing

Well it works for that, but that's not what it's for. Sort of like engaging a tank with light AT.

What is it for then? You can't use it to spot and laze targets because of the copilots limited angle of view and the highly inaccurate lazing system. You could engage infantry, but they better not shoot back or you're dead, especially if they have an AR. Also don't even think about going near any vehicle that has more guns than a supply truck.
Nothing left but the ocasional snipers and lonewolves and those aren't worth risking the chopper anyway.

Killing an attack chopper with a littlebird takes about 100 rounds, ~20% of all your ammo. Killing a tank with LAT takes so many shots, it's not even worth counting.

So all you can do is hunt for enemy birds, working together with friendly helos, covering their ***, advancing ahead and above them to make sure the airspace is clear.

In it's current state, the littlebirds can't be used safely for anything else on AAS maps.

Scout chooper, are redunent with the view distance the way it is. time be better spent making vehicles that faction well within the constraints of the engine.

if you want a scout vehicle, you can't get much better then a car, or better yet the Chinese new scout car, it small fast and manageable, and can take a lot of punishment for it size.
