So, I came up with a "brilliant" idea, wich is; making squad colors.
It sounds strange but let me explain to you how it works and what the benfits are.

It works like;

-Each squad gets its own color. ( FE: Squad 1 = Blue, Squad 2 = Green, Squad 3 = Red,etc )
It's not that much but I think this will make a small, but usefull change in PR, because like, sometimes you want to know in what squad some players are ( let's lay that you're a commander, this will make the interface much better. Also for other squadleaders it can be useful ).

It's just a prototype of my idea, maybe you guys can add something to it. Comment and suggest please, don't hate.

Or, say you are a pilot and someone jumps in your heli and says nothing. You could, as the pilot, check your map and instantly know which squad he is in just by looking at the map without having to look through the squads.

This suggestion is at least worth a "Hmmm"

Good suggestion, it'll save a lot of time for asset or tactic squads.

I like the suggestion, but then the question comes.... is it possible?

Anyhow this would work awesome, PuffNStuff said, for chopper and trans pilots.



And I'll monopolize squad 4 if I can, "Pink" squad.

Don't squad colors on the map have something to do with the HUD Colors you select in your settings?

there should be a rule that you cant open your mouth about re-suggestion unless you post the link. tired of all the mini-mods around here.



i think the idea would be great to be able to tell who the people around you belong to instead of just calling them a smurf or blue guy. i think it would be cool for other squad leaders to see each others markers too.

Yeah. + it would make joke squads easier to identify and be taken care of...

Pretty sure some DEV will come soon and say it's hardcoded... I hope not, this is a brilliant idea.

And about the resuggestion stuff... I have not seen the (alleged) first suggestion and would not have thought of this myself, hence wouldn't have searched it from the forums. Good thing you posted this Amir!

Ok so even if it isn't suggested, we are talking about replacing the color of the blue smurf on the maps. Simple enough, yet this could be one of those annoying small things that just so happens to be hardcoded.

This suggestion needs to be reviewed by a coder!

It would make things so much easier, saying things as a pilot

ANYWAY, This would be epic if it was implemented. Easier for commanders, instead of having a giant green blob on your map


Also, the "colors" Startrekern that you can change, from bf2 anyway, is only the crosshair. Not sure about other things.

not bad idea actually. my only concern is map may gonna look like a circus area with more than 10-12 colors on it.

it would only have 10 max. 1 color for each squad and commander
