Simple suggestion, make Qwai sunset again, the daytime just doesnt look right. Ever sinceI started playin PR years ago Ive enjoyed the atmosphere on that map but now its just not the same...

it does look a tad weird IMHO

I don't think the map looks wierd, its the Americans looks like they came dressed for a desert map

maybe another nation like one of the Comfacs would work better on it, or the USMC.

I doubt it will be made sunset again, as that would require relightmapping the new statics that were added in .9, which is a annoying and lengthly process.

The Chinese don't work for this map,maybe put the Milita or a rebel faction for the Qwai but it it would add the dramatic feeling on Qwai.

USMC already have a Chinese map(Barracuda) and doesn't make as much sense as much for the Marines to be operating in a mainland battle like that, I do believe that the Marines deserve some more maps but not Qwai.

How don't they work on a map they were designed for? How would any other fraction work better? Honestly man I don't get what your saying. If its not the Chinese you'd have to redesign everything because its in China. Another thing its the only US Army vs China map so why not leave it. To put in another fraction you change the whole concept of the map.

To this topic I think Qwai is fine as it is it may be cool to see a sunset Qwai but as Rudd said a lot of work involved when a ton of other things with maps need to be done as far as PR goes so I honestly don't see it as a priority.

No USMC, but if the US Army got new looks specifically for this map it would work. Otherwise, perhaps a new faction would be good (Britts? Canadians? Germans?)

Ye, which Taxi sort of based it on, and then a few years later he realized he spelt Kwai wrong

Also the river Kwai is in Western Thailand

So in the film...Did the bridge always have a hole in it?
Cause thats how the map seems to have it

Lange so the 20,000 odd marines fighting in Helmand aren't odd? Marines in my opinion would balance the map as LAVs would be able to fight the 20mm APCs and be able to cross the river, but the difference in assests with the US army make this an interesting map to fight on as there are different tactics for both teams.

I personally like the daytime version alot more than the sunset one. I don't have much against the US Army being on Qwai, but it would be interesting to see the USMC instead.

But i prefer the sunset since in my town the wheater is always bad and cold

indeed, but one question reameans, make the faction will be worty? and i guess the chinese whant only peace. after all war will change the politics and economics that are actuly at they favor. indeed.

this map without sunset looks odd as all the vegitation looks really too green
