I believe once i updated my video card driver to the latest version, whenever i join a BF2 Online server or PR online server it crashes to desktop once i double click on that server, iv'e been told it could be due to the driver. BF2 single player works fine. It could be a bug with the latest Nvidia drivers.

Mine has been fine up until today. Today its crashed to the desktop 5 times while i was ingame, its totally random. I dont know why and its never happened till today.

Could be because your videocard is overheating. I had that problem too, I just bought a new fan for my videocard and replaced with the old fan.
Not sure if this is a solution for your problem.
