after i read the thread about the bad iamge of pr 0.X (beta) - no, i dont wanna discuss that anymore - i got the idea of making a ad for pr. it should be mostly text, which can be translated ofc, and a short video introduction with some good material. because there is PLENTY OF GOOD VIDEO MATERIAL , it just wouldve needed to be summarized somehow.

how do like the idea? - i like it
would there be some writers, video cutters, actors etc for the job? - i'd act for anyone

what should the image of pr be?
- imo the most important thing is not to find as many players as possible, its to find as good players as possible. we dont want servers filled with lonewolfs and guys, that join the sq take a hat kit, leave, lose the kit to the enemy and all that on insurgency (RAGE!!!!) . we want people - at least i think everyone does - that use mumble, communicate and see teamwork as a common courtesy, not a burden. so including things like that its really time consuming and can be frustrating, though it is the best game with teamwork with more than 5 players per team.

There is already an image for PR. It's the Dog Tags that say PR. There are many, many, many ads for Project Reality. Not many ads are needed as it's a free mod.

Teaser Trailers for upcoming additions is enough for me. No need for "advertisements" unless we want to spam websites with PR. But you can see how that went when you advertised in vBF2.. =\


It's been in the "highlights" section of the BF2 website forever, plus it's advertised on vBF2. Hopefully the team is actually getting money for this.. otherwise I don't see any plusses.

We could try some extreme advertasing maybe

PR has an inhouse video production team who do all the adverts and teaser trailers.

anything produced outside of the team would be a fan film.

i remember seeing an ad for PR in vBF2...

I've seen so many organised video attempts fall by the wayside with alot of bitching

but if community members want to get together and try and make something nice in video, picture/whatever form I hope you will and show it to the rest of us

the reason why im posting is that i thought of introducing some people that i just hardly know to the game and the best way to do that is via a fucking awesome trailer. besides i and other people could use a text to post on forums, we win new fellow soldiers and we cant deny he pr experience to other people.

They should increase advertisements on the forum to make money,


If we could get a salary for the dev's, they could then get more staff, and make PR 2 happen a lot faster.
