Why is the reloading wrong?

I am just wondering why the reloads are so weird? An m4s bolt locks back after the last round is fired there for all you need to do is insert new mag and hit the bolt catch. In the game you insert mag and hit foward assit then then the bolt catch. heres how it should be

1. When you arm gun you pull charging handle to chamber first round, US soldiers can not have a round chambered well gun is at ease.

2. when reloading, remove mag

3. insert new mag, should take longer then it does cause you have to remove it from a pouch

4. hit bolt catch

5. Fire

A handguns slide locks back after last round so pistols should reload the same.

it would not be faster just make the inserting of a new mag slower, this would be much more real. The ARs for USMC, US Army, The Brits, The Russians, and MEC should be like this. Opfor should use the charging handle like they do now. Thoughts?

The engine can't differentiate between reloads with a round in the chamber and empty reloads, so they had to choose one animation.

Believe me when I say: "Trust me, we know what we're doing", when it comes to weapon animations.

BF2 in it's current state is exactly what TmanEd described.

You can only do so much with a game that has been out for 5 years.

In my opinion PR DEV team has done a lot of freaky things to make PR different, i think they've also done something that BF DEV team couldn't.

We have many military advisers from all walks of military life. So when we say we know what we are doing we really mean it. We understand how all the weapons in PR work in the real world, and we do our very best to represent them effectively in the BF2 engine.
