Official thread for the Project Reality Map Book
INFO
It's essentially all the images of the maps that you find in the gamefiles (converted from .dds to .png),
and then i've added the gridlines and coordinates that you'd otherwise only find in-game.
The grid lines have been made to perfection, 8x8 big squares with respective 9 smaller boxes within, as in the game.
I have then compiled these into a e-book in .pdf format with a table of contents, etc.
All for the ease of just being able to click print once, and you then get all the pages you need to plan your next assault on bad guys.

Good work mate, looks like it took some time to put together... Which is why it pains me to say every page says "Highest quality avaible" instead of "Highest quality available" =P

Good for the book but the "Map by Systemic33" in the lower right of the screens feels like you're the mapper that made the map it self. It will be best if you remove it and just put "Compiled by Systemic33" or something like that.
Once more well done on the book it self.

Well
People make maps on the world around us, and even though they all show the same earth....they are made by different publishers.
What differs these publisher apart is how well they've displayed the maps.
So i have two problems with changing map by systemic;
1. Its going to be extremely annoying to re-save all the maps without it and then apply it where i used them.
2. What difference does it make? If you want to go through all the map files and find the images, and then apply a perfect grid and all the letters and numbers, then go ahead. But I think most people can live with a rather insignificant credit text.
But if you find that the text is in one map obscuring important terrain. Then please let me know.

The images that they use to make those maps is (c) the photographer/mapper and the publisher puts their stamp on it because they paid to use that original image. For data on elevation and roads they do all of the work themselves from either public or private data sets to lay out roads, etc. By putting a personal stamp on each page it does give the impression that you have created the map itself and not just gave it an overlay to avoid appearing to claim copyright which putting map by states.
Basically, making a useful compilation isn't a work of art that needs your name on it. Put it on the title page and people who appreciate the work will recognize your efforts just as readily.

Well done once again!
I think this warrants a trip to the library to do some printing

Thanks for the map images. Look nice.
A minor issue about the grid lines: The the line separating grid rows 1 and 2 looks the same as the line separating the keypad rows. Is it possible to make that darker? The same for the line separating grid rows 2 and 3, but this is only on certain maps. (Some look fine.)
Ideas for bonus additions, if not on the map then maybe under each title:
Map scale (There are lots of times I've wanted this in-game but couldn't remember or figure it out at the time.)
4 km map: 1 map grid is 500m (= 4 \

; 1 keypad is 167m (= 4 / 24)
2 km map (half of the 4km): 1 map grid is 250m; 1 keypad is 83m
1 km map: 1 map grid is 125m; 1 keypad is about 42 m
Magnetic north: just kidding

You don't need a separate thread for this tbh, just post in existing one, and edit 1st post with updated info.

Ur welcome to give me correct scales
