PR MUMBLE

I'm trying to configure mumble with my mic, I sound audible when mumble is closed but when it is running I sound really quiet and can hardly hear myself. I tried using the mumble wizard but my realtek hd sound manager sliders are not precise enough. Also when mumble is running its really crackly.Mumble needs to be way more user friendly. Is teamspeak easier to use ? what do most players use Teamspeak, Mumble or BF2 voip ?.

Right click the sound thing in bottom right > recording > communications > select 'do nothing'.

Clans use TS, randoms use VoiP and alot of people use mumble.. all have different uses.

I personally use the BF2 in-game VoiP, simply because everyone has it, and it doesn't require thirdparty program.

As for third party programs, i will recommend Teamspeak 3 as THE BEST VoIP since dawn of lossy audio codecs...xD
IT doesn't have the localization feature that mumble has...but you do have a 3D virtual sound configuration avaible (basiclly you can move other users on a 2D plane, so that you can choose to hear buddy 1 to your left side and buddy 2 to your right side.)

I rarely use mumble, since nobody else uses it and thus making it useless for the purpose it tries to solve.

when I try and setup bf2 voip it does not detect my voice at all and when I click save settings I get the message that it has stopped working.

@Systemic33: People do use Mumble. However, not all the time and certainly not on every server.
