I just wanted to share my experiences with everyone. In this release, all I've been playing is Co-Op because I believed it was more fun because I didn't really like "dying all the time." I though Deployment was like this "dying all the time." Previously, I have only played Deployment once or twice in this release for maybe half a round, and I didn't do much. I played a little also in v0.85 but not much. Recently, I've been playing a lot more deployment now, especially with friends and good players. It's the most fun I've ever had in PR and I wanted to share this: If you only play Co-Op, like I did: STOP! Play deployment!

Why would you play Co-op all the time?

well duh, co-op should be just for getting to know the game imo...hm, not even that, it's so unlike prs real gameplay. should just play it for teh lulz

well if your like me and pr ctd's every time you play online then youhave to play co-op.

no i do it alone with bots and local locked but i wish i could fix this ctd but life is tough..

1) run the game in windowed mode.
2) get error message on crash and post it in the support forum
3) wait
4) profit !!!

COOP is great fun guys, especially if its 5 guys vs an army of bots, it has an unfair intensity that is actually great fun

though fighting humans is more satisfying imo

Co-op is like a secondary game mode to me, I only use it to test stuff. You don't get half the fun you can get in a regular server, with good players in it of course.

My PR Baseball analogy

Coop Local Single Player Inf layer = Batting Cages, self challenge; see if you can crack 20 good hits in a row without dying

Coop Online Players vs hard bots = A Company Softball Game; More or less goofing off and having a laugh without real competition.

Coop Online Players and bots mixed teams std = Single-A short season baseball A true game opponents may actually be ppl. Still no real squadplay, minimal mic usage. Still plenty of hattery and bungling.

Deployment Online Public Server Off Hours = AA Farm League A couple of bright spots in terms of squads and good players. Wont always be admins present so don't expect much rule enforcement. Still plenty of noobs filling the rosters and bringing their brand of 'gameplay'

Deployment Online Public Server Peak Hours = Full AAA Baseball Organized gameplay overall. Plenty of good 6/6 clanner squads, some intersquad teamwork. Admins usually present and playing. For maximum enjoyment try to avoid the "leftovers squads" and join the team with the nice clanner teamstack.

Deployment Tournament/TG-Privatepassword/MumbleNights etc = Major League Baseball The Best PR has to offer. Mandatory all members squad up, squads work well in tandem. Expect most of the players to be experienced and often better than you are. Most players can fulfill just about any kit/vehicle role, most can squadlead on their own in lesser games. Smile you'll probably end up in a a youtube gameplay video.


Play ball!

its because its not hard to outsmart bots. you get the satisfation of winning without the disappointment of dieing. i admit that ive pretty much stopped playing deployment, but im trying to get back into it. small servers are fun, larger ones, not so much. that is of course unless you make it into one of the good servers like TG.
