Mic Not Detected/Creative SB X-Fi Volume Panel Won't Open/fixed

So a few days ago, we had quite a thunderstorm and our power flickered on and off. My PC is connected to a surge protector/backup battery and once the power flickered, the backup battery came on. I decided just to turn my computer off and wait out the storm. Once the storm passed, I turned everything back on and my computer stated that it had recovered from having an issue turning off the power correctly.
Once I logged back in, I found that my audio was a little screwed up. I eventually fixed everything, however, now my mic's volume was very low. People told me it was very hard to hear me. I tried everything to fix this, but to no avail.
The next day, after trying everything I could think of to boost my mic's volume, my PC all of the sudden couldn't detect my mic. Usually this wouldn't be a problem since all I would have to do is go into my Creative X-Fi Volume Panel and adjust the settings there so it would detect my mic.
Of course, it's never that easy. My Volume Panel decided it wasn't going to open either. It appears like it's going to open, however, all it gives you is a small, solid tan box. I spent the entire day trying to resolve these issues, trying everything imaginable.
I tried updating my drivers, reverting back to previous drivers, reinstalling the Creative Volume Panel. Restoring my system back to a previous date... everything. Nothing has worked. I'm thinking my audio card, Creative SB X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro, has gone bad. When I went to the Device Manager though, it stated it was working properly.
I am all out of ideas and completely frustrated. I really don't want to call the GeekSquad to come out again and help me fix the issue if I don't have to. Help?
tl;dr
Mic isn't being detected/volume too low and my Creative X-Fi Volume Panel won't open/Mixer is missing.
