Hi, a simple suggestion wich, I think, can be very usefull in the gameplay.

Today I was flying the chinook and delivering the troops on the front-line. But there was a problem, once I landed, the players starting shouting "thanks, take-off, take-off" and just after doing it there was at least one guy still inside the helicopter asking to go back and wait him to get out before taking off.

So, to make things easier to the pilots and the surround awareness in vehicles in general, I suggest that, if possible, leave the vehicle seats chart always visible, just like the picture bellow

The name of the players aboard the vehicle it is not necessary IMO, but the small image to the left would be cool.

Press F1 (or whatever button you have assigned to switch to first position), you'll see the seat chart.

IMO having the seat chart always up just hurts immersion, when you need it up tapping F1 is not challenging or distracting really

Is it possible to have the seating chart pop up when people leave the vehicle? I know it pops up when they get in or move seats. That would solve the problem, without requiring any F1 tapping by the pilot. I know when I'm flying, my keyboard isn't exactly easy to use when I'm holding the joystick and throttle.

It is what I actually do, but having it "on" all the time would be the best.

well IRL you would have a load master who would relay such info to the pilot, maybe the chart could be the loadie??

The best way is to ask the troops to use the comorose 'go go go' when they are all clear and spam f1.

I guess it would be kinda useful to have it up constantly though.

gd idea imo, if your using a keyboard and trying to stay level on uneaven ground its very hard to hit f1 to make that check, so i support it for choppers, apc's you can really just press f1 easily so theres no reason i s'pose

Good idea, I often see chopper pilots take off without the last man - making players spam teamchat to get them to fly back. This would be indicative of the crew chief telling the pilot they're good to go, but I think I can taste a hardcoded feature here.

great topic, i'm absolutely agreed that we need hop-out-event, cause a man who needs transport may just hop out on main for some personal reason and u're going to transport no one => risk for nothing. also i crashed a couple of choppers pressing Esc instead of F1

I only managed to get around this with an easy-to-reach button on my joystick bound to F1, so I just hit that every few seconds on landing. I tell my passengers I only land for a few seconds though (most people know it already) so people are generally quite good about getting out, because they know I'm not going back for the single troop that was too slow to get out.

I can take or leave it, its such a small thing that I'd be ok with it.

I always press "F1" to see if people are in the vehicle, and who is in the vehicle, but I wouldn't mind if the seats-chart is always visible.

Weird thing though, if you're a passenger in a vehicle and press whatever F-key, you don't always see who's on F1 and F2....... :-\

that's because max size of list of players aboard is 6, and max setas count is usually 8.
same for bf2142 engine

I'm glad to see everyone likes it. Let's hope this is possible to be done.

Hopefully it will be done and perhaps who hates this can have the ability to turn it off?

I'd be for this, i mean i've got used to tapping F1 when i go into land and then just as i want to take off

the idea of having it appear when people get out i think is best, though having it up all the time is not too bad a work around

Now is it possible to have it on the helicopters only?

It's annoying to always press F1 to check for this, takes your concentration away.
