I'm still dipping down to 30fps when playing fallujah for example. Is that normal? I really wished for much more. It's almost the same as with my old C2D rig.

AMD Phenom II X6 1090T 3,2GHz
Club 3D HD5850 1024MB
4GB 1333MHz DDR3
Asus Crosshair IV
Samsung F3 1000GB 32MB

Sounds pretty normal. Fallujah has a bit of a performance drop on my PC as well.
Since v0.9 Fallujah has seemed to be one of the maps that sucks a bit from everybody's rigs.
afaik it was down to poorly optimised statics or textures in several maps? Although someone might want to correct me on that

I was having serious fps drops on most maps. Installed Mz Ram Booster yesterday, to clean up RAM every x minutes, clean the CPU's L2 Cache and set "Foreground applications more responsive" (this last one is a Windows option, but you can set it through the program as well).

It worked really well for me yesterday, could play with everything maxed out at 1680x1050 on a pc with lesser specs than yours, still got a very decent fps (still some drops here and there, but nowhere near as serious as before).

I'm going to do some more tests, 'cause I'm not entirely convinced "over night", after suffering bad performance for a very long time. But, you could give it a go, see what it does for you.
