medic healing animations?

I got this idea from a soure engine mod called"firearm:source"

in this mod when a person got injured,he can use the first aid kit in his inventory to heal himself

but instead of instant health regain, you can see the character take some of the items from the first aid kit and use it.

there are more than one healing animation in firearm:source,it depends on the medic skill levels in game, they sometimes take bandages or stitches

in this video ,quickclots =D
Imageshack - heal.mp4

I'm thinking if there can be more than paper tearing sound when using the first aid kit in PR,that will be more realistic, and more fun when being medics lol.

That would be nice, but is it even possible in BF2?

if you mean random animations,no i don't think it's possible =)

but one single animation would do.

I think it will work because there already been healing animation in PR,but what medics do is just hold down the first kit which is kinda boring, you can also see the 3rd-person healing animations in PR,but in 1st-person view you don't .

1st and 3rd person animations operate separately.
Might be able to work something out but Vapourstreak is probably onto something.

btw is the first aid kit "hold down" action in PR an animation?

I seen first person healing animation back in BF1942,although is just simple hand movement, but that makes me think this can be done in bf2.

i'm pretty sure it could be done.... eg. reloading when you remove the mag and put one in, its like removing the object from the medic kit?

Of course it could be done. Probably even randomized. But it's alot of work for little gain, so I don't see it happening.

I think medics should be able to drag and carry wounded soldiers, kinda like in Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead.

Unable due engine limitations, I believe..

Good idea, and I'm pretty sure this would be possible. Just replace the "fireing" animation on the current Field Dressings with a longer one.

well true and flase.... it is possible but you'd also be ables to drag tanks and other moveable objects around. Thus being useless for this MOD.
