Hello i browsed a lot of forums and the whole PR forum for this problem and nothing seems to help...i have Battlefield collection CD...so when i install it i have the 1.41 version, right? Than i download 1.5 patch from filefront and patch doesnt seem to do anything when i start it...and when started CMD window appears for 1-2 secs ant thats it..i tryed waiting but task manager shows that there is no setup.exe or similar processes ...I downloaded v1.5 patch from other mirror and same happens...tryed reinstalling 3 times, i downloaded 1.41 patch from official page( didnt use the one on CD) an same happens...

P.S. my computer supports BF2, and im running on Win XP: SP3

The most common causes of CTD are:
Failure to uninstall any previously installed versions of PR.
This can easily be done via the Windows Control Panel
'Add and Remove Programs' icon, under "Project Reality 0.x".*,
then delete the PR folder to remove any leftover files.
Don't forget to delete the desktop short as well.
PRv.917 uses 2 installers. You must install both 'Part 1' and 'Part 2'.
It is recommended that you restart your system after you install/uninstall programs
to ensure all installed components, files and registry entries are correctly installed or removed.

Sometimes does not complete, but looks like it does.
To find your version of BF2
run PR in 'windowed' mode
To do so
Right click on shortcut.
Choose properties from bottom of list.
Modify the text in your shortcut's 'target' window.
("C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start +fullscreen 1)

Change
+fullscreen 1
to
+fullscreen 0
Should look like this in Vista ( XP lose the (x86) ):
"C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\pr\pr.exe" start +fullscreen 0

Once the game is running in "window" mode
Look at the upper left corner
you should see
v.1.5.3153-802.0
