there a lot people who have difficulties installing the mod and that also may them install/uninstall/install/uninstall and then give up.

and often cause of problems are that they havent patch their battlefield2 game correctly.
so,when people double click the PR.setup there should be some box where is questions:

1.Do you have patched your Battlefield 2 game to 1.41 version?
2.Do you have patched your Battlefield 2 game to 1.50 version?
there should be also little boxes what they must mark that they have done questions 1/2.
if they dont mark those little boxes, installing is cancelled.

and then when everything is patched and installed correctly there should be also:
RUN AS ADMIN. :)
more players/less work to the tech team.

While it could make things a bit easier...people will still mess things up.

Player could assume they are up to date and it turns out their not. Plus people should really know these things before loading.

What I would like is for a checksum with every release to ensure I have every file. I've found that the last few versions i've missed a few file while downloading.

I'm sure you could make the installer itself look for which version of BF2 that is installed and make it complain about it/cancel installation if bf2 isn't patched to 1.5?
For instance the fourth line in battlefield 2\support\readme.txt clearly specifies what version the game is patched to, make the installer check that out and you'd be in harbour.
