Hello!

I hav problems installing the newest version of PR (v0.91)... I had really old version of PR, because I had'nt played it like in a year so I deleted all PR folders. Then I installed BF patch 1.50 and donwloaded the full PR v0.91 and part 2 of it.

But my problem is that it does't start installation. Nothing really happens. Now I have waited like 1 hour it to start but really nothing happens...

Whats wrong?

THX!

disable User Account Control (what this does it set all accounts, even admin ones, to being administrated) for some reason this seems to cause a long delay whilst opening things like large installers (so PR) i guess windows is checking the file for you.

Use a 'Torrent' client to get the downloads. Doing so will ensure an error free download. You installer should unpack is 10 minutes or so ( the installed window will open). Sometimes, if your doing other things on the PC while your waiting, you might miss a system prompt to "OK" running the installer. (it sits in the system tray waiting) Best to carefully start the installer once then wait.

The most common causes of CTD are:
Failure to uninstall any previously installed versions of PR.
This can easily be done via the Windows Control Panel
'Add and Remove Programs' icon, under "Project Reality 0.x".*,
then delete the PR folder to remove any leftover files.
Don't forget to delete the desktop short as well.
PRv.917 uses 2 installers. You must install both 'Part 1' and 'Part 2'.
It is recommended that you restart your system after you install/uninstall programs
to ensure all installed components, files and registry entries are correctly installed or removed.

BF2 not updated to v 1.41 before patching with v1.5

FULL update 1.41
Final v1.5
Some have posted Updating with the
1.5 update
Sometimes does not complete, but looks like it does.
To find your version of BF2
run PR in 'windowed' mode
Look at the upper left corner
you should see
v.1.5.3153-802.0

Oh, I had some PR 0.859 cores on my computer... I deleted them and I try now again to install the newest PR... BTW I managed to install part 1, but it took like 4 hours. Hopefully now it takes less time  .

right, go to windows security center.

under "other security settings" there should be "internet security settings" and "user account control" turn off the latter.

OK, THANKS!

After the installation should I turn it back on?
